In college at the University of Nebraska-Kearney, I joined the Catholic Church ultimately because I fell in love with the Lord and the ways in which He seeks to encounter us through the Sacramental life in the Church. After learning about the True Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, I knew not only that I had to be Catholic, but also that others needed to know this: "The greatest love story of all time is contained in a tiny white Host." This love story takes place every single day when Jesus Christ, from the Throne Room of Heaven, makes Himself present to us on the altar at Mass. The Lord set my heart aflame with this truth, and I knew I had to do something about it.
I came to Emporia State University my first year on mission in 2025, and I've absolutely loved getting to share the truth of Christ with students. By His grace I've grown to realize that the Lord has blessed me with a truly, inexplicably, amazing gift in my conversion to the Catholic Church; He continues to bless me by allowing me to share this with students here at ESU. It is an incredible gift to serve here.
